came across a story online about an incident that happened involving a plowing company owner and a resident of an apartment that the company plows for, so apparently, he received an e-mail to his company stating the person was a tenant living at an apartment building he plows and salts for. the tenant apparently said he slipped and fell and hurt himself. He says he happened to have a knife in his lunch bag and he fell on it and had to get stitches at the hospital, miss work, as did his wife, etc. He says he's out the day of pay from work, parking at hospital, his clothes, and wants to handle the incident without lawyers. So now the company is thinking to himself that why wont they call the company directly and also concerned it may just be a scam, so he doesnt really know how to go about , now my question is this, if you were the owner of the company, would you rather get insurance to deal with it, and suffer through a premium hike, or wait for him to sue you and plead your case in front of a judge ?
