chevy blazer plow truck worth it

choices are between an old chevy blazer plow truck or jimmy. itll be used for plowing but most of the time ill be passing through residential driveways. maybe 20 or so dont want to mod it too much just something reliable anyone got experience using these for snow also wondering if they can handle an ez mount plow dont like the look of permanent mounts any advice on what to upgrade or avoid

these old trucks are absolute tanks when it comes to plowing, theyll probably outlive the plows themselves.... Just grab one and youre good to go. the tough part is finding one that isnt completely rusted out or priced too much. I got lucky and got me one thts totally rust free and it plows like a menace. even with mud tires i havent had any issues. I throw about 450 pounds of ballast in the bed though you probably dont even need it. the only thing id consider doing is boxing in the frame as theyre not the strongest to begin with, but thats just me being really picky. honestly, you cant go wrong with these trucks for plowingat all or any old truck for that matter. but chevys are definitely easier on the wallet when it comes to maintenance and repairs

blazers and jimmys are good plow rigs, just like @tophat1 said, good size for driveways and pretty reliable, but rust is the big killer of these beasts, so check the frame. also, EZ mount plows should work, but you might need stiffer springs or crank the torsion bars. goodluck

Is there a way we can deal with the rust build up? If thats the case I feel like I could negotiate a good deal with one and if possible just remove the rust.
