dealing with a slip and fall complaint

just wanna tell you all a little story of something that happened with the plowing company i occasionally freelance for, during the winter period, weeks back after a big storm, our crew was out before dawn clearing a residential complex, everything was done right, plowed, salted, checked twice. By the time the sun came up, the place was spotless (as spotless as winter allows, anyway). Fast forward to the next day, and we get a call from the property manager, apparently, a tenant is claiming they slipped and fell in the parking lot and are now threatening to file a complaint, mind you, this was after we'd done our job and conditions were about as good as they could be. Even checked our logs, temps didn't even refreeze overnight. Now, I get it, snow and ice can be unpredictable but at what point does responsibility shift? we can't bubble wrap the world. I don't know how the manager eventually handled it though, have any of you dealt with something like this and how do you handle these situations?,

it's a tricky situation, and the responsibility can go both ways. If you documented everything you can use that as proof that you did the job rifght, but without it can go both ways and it would be your word against the tenant. The agreement also needs to be looked at and see if there's a calus that would allow the tenan to file a complaint
