Got plow working with new 12V line but lost plow lights

I finally got my plow up and running! I had to cut that old 12V red wire in the harness and run a new line, but now everything's working smoothly. The only hiccup? I lost the plow lights in the process. Ugh!

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to find a separate feed for the lights, or is there a way to integrate them back into my new setup without too much hassle? I'd really appreciate any tips or advice you might have!

Well you should have tried to trace what else it powered, that was your plow light feed right there, now you'll probably need a separate feed, so you can either tap back into the switched accessory circuit or run a relay off your new line to power the lights

In many cases, the lights are on the same harness as the power feed and since you cust the 12V, you probably cut the feed to the lights. You'll need to reconnect or reroute to get the lights back on.

@farmerman is right, a quick reroute will get you your lights back. With that said, it's a good idea to double check the wiring in case you damaged a wire or a connector in the process. It's not too common, but it can happen sometimes if you're not careful.
