Powerful UTV with plow?

Im looking to get a UTV primarily for plowing sidewalks and small parking lots so I need something that can handle a decent amount of snow, maneuver in tight spaces. I also need it to be tough enough for offroad conditions and be fast so something that has a 25mph limit is not part of my options.

Im also planning to either put a Boss or Snowex V-plow so the UTV should have a strong frame and suspension to handle the added weight and forces of plowing

Anyone here got good input on which UTV to use and which best plow to match it with? I need experienced opinions!

The Polaris Ranger XP 1000, Can-Am Defender HD10, and Kawasaki Mule Pro-FXT are solid choices. They have high payload capacities, durable chassis, and good maneuverability.


For plows, the Boss V-plow is a great match for heavy-duty work, while the SnowEx V-plow is another solid option with good adjustability. Just make sure to get a UTV with a winch or hydraulic system to handle the plow lift. Are you prioritizing power or maneuverability more?

If you're serious about plowing, go with a Polaris Ranger XP 1000 or Can-Am Defender HD10. Both have strong frames and suspensions, ideal for handling a Boss or Snowex V-plow. They've got enough power (82 HP for the Ranger, 72 HP for the Defender) to get through thick snow fast. Don't skimp on the plow , stick with Boss or Snowex for durability. Anything less will break down in tough conditions. One mistake some people make is too try to cheap out, forget the cheap stuff, get something with enough power because not all UTVs are made for serious plowing

People here raving about the Polaris Ranger! I agree 100%. it might be expensive at first but if you're going to use it for a long time then I guess it's worth it

Agree, also the honda pioneer 1000 is a very good choice for long term reliability.
