Saw this news from way back where a kid was run over with his dad's snow plower. Just curious what are your tips to make sure that everyone's safe when we're pushing snow? both for ourselves and everyone around.

The most obvious thing, open your eyes to your surroundings, reassure yourself that there is no one around. Lights and mirrors should always be clean for visibility. Always turn off the machine, even when stepping for a minute and go slow near driveways and sidewalks.

damn, that's heartbreaking. Safety's gotta be #1 when snow's flying, I like to do a quick walkaround before firing up the plow to make sure no kiddos, pets, or random sleds are lurking. Backup cams and mirrors help, but nothing beats a good look around honestly and when I see anyone nearby, I just stop and wave 'em clear people use flashing lights too

this, plus you should install warning sounds and lights just in case. Having some adult monitor your blind spots is also a good idea, if possible

Be visible, keep windows and lights clear frequently, mark potential hazards before snow falls, plow in layers, keep an eye out for people, and never allow children near moving machinery. Every pass, safety first
