What are the latest bulk salt prices in your area? Current figures Ive come across range from $140-$230 per ton for bulk salt depending on the region and salt type. Bagged salt remains higher often surpassing $240 per ton delivered. There are also talks of potential supply issues which could impact availability. Anyone with updates on pricing trends or the reliability of supply, it would be amazing to hear your insights.

Hey, you're right. Just read in 'Smart about Salt' that supply chain hiccups and weather patterns are shaking things up. You may go into their 'bulk shipping of rock salt in 2025' post for more info. We've been looking into outside sourcing since.
Thanks for the tip. Early purchasing or alternate suppliers may be the most reliable course this year if weather patterns and logistics hit bulk shipments.

It's frustrating to see salt prices vary so much lately, between $140 and $230 per ton for bulk, and bagged salt can go over $240. On top of that, there are talks of supply issues affecting availability, this coming winter, a lot of saddling up to be done
That price spread points to regional supply pressure or transport bottlenecks. If supply tightens further, locking in early contracts might be the best move to avoid getting caught flat-footed.
