4L80 fluid capacity, need advice for a plow truck

I'm getting my plow truck ready for the season and want to make sure my 4L80 is properly serviced. I'm trying to confirm the fluid capacity for a full drain and refill, including the torque converter. Some sources say around 13 quarts, but I've seen others mention different numbers depending on the pan. I want to avoid overfilling or running low, especially with the extra strain from plowing. Anyone here running a 4L80 in their snow plow setup? What's been your experience with fluid levels and keeping the trans cool during long pushes?

jsut changed mine and it took way more than expected! i ended up using around 5.5 quarts..

check if its warm and running, my trust is on the dipstick. if its say full while in park, then youre on the right track.

there are two types of oidl changes on a transmission, drain and fill and a complete flush. If you're doing a drain and fill, then you're replacing only part of the total capacity, usually around half or sometimes less like @past_sun2121. A complete flush means removing the pan, replacing the filter and fillint it up to the brim, in which case you're looking at around 14 quarts

Full drain and refill is 16 quarts, but if just a standard change without fully draining, 12 quarts is alright. But then again, I'd recommend the full drain if it's been a long time.
