Should I buy a SnoVac

I stumbled upon a 84" SnoVac on Facebook Marketplace and I know it's still a long time before I need that, but better too early than too late right?

What are the pros and cons of it? And what is the estimated price acceptable for one? I know it's low maintenance and highly durable so I really look forward to getting one.

Pros? It is low maintenance and built like a tank and theyre also good for handling a lot of snow. also.....if it's the belt driven model, even better cos it has fewer moving parts to worry about.
But for the cons? it has to be the weight... It's a beast, so you have to be sure your machine can handle it without turning into a front heavy mess. And if parts ever do go, they're not exactly something you'll find at the local hardware store.
Pricing, I dont really have a good idea

should you buy it? well, YES if you have a beast of a machine that can power it and lots of snow to move.

NO if your tractor is too small or if you only have light clearing needs.

It's always a good time to get this kind of equipment, as long as you need it. @LostMine85 is right, for lighter work this is overkill. In addition to that, you'll need hydraulic controls and enough space so store it. Price wise about 2 grand, maybe 3 is a solid range depdnding on the condition and how much it's used.

It's a bit heavy and maybe more than you need if your space isn't huge. Other than that, it should be a good buy..

@IceIceBaby1 makes a good point on storage and hydraulics. No sense in grabbing it early if you do not have the setup to run it yet.
